Dig a little deeper
Tena koutou, and greetings church family.
We are now in our fourth week of lent leading up to Easter and my encouragement for you all is from Psalm 19.
The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the honeycomb.
During this period of Lent you may decide to dig a little deeper and reflect on God’s will in your life. The will of God for our lives is embedded in Scripture.
The will of God for us is to obey the laws of scripture, to delight in His Law and meditate on the law day and night (Psalm 1).
Refresh your thoughts and consider the living water that flows from your life into the community as a Jesus follower (John 4:14).
Being in the will of God gives us internal peace… When we follow his commands.
What are the threats seeking to halt you from fulfilling God’s plan for your life and receiving internal peace?
Is it: fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear for our health, doubt, self-dependency or deep hurt and bitterness?
God encourages us to Trust in Him and not lean on our understanding (Proverbs 5:3). His Word is a lamp for our feet, a light on our path (Psalm 119:105).
God can supply your needs if you trust him. He can provide what the context you are in cannot.
