Reflecting on Life’s Rhythms and Seeking God’s Presence

Tena koutou, and greetings church family.

This week, my rhythm has largely revolved around meetings—one in Matamata with Kaimai Presbytery, one at a local café, several on Zoom, and the majority in my office at church. These meetings vary in purpose and size, but most are one-on-one conversations. A common thread in these discussions is reflecting on what God is doing in different settings and life experiences.

So, my big question for you is:
What does your weekly rhythm of life look like? Do you have a routine that works for you? What challenges you? How are you feeling?

I find one of life’s greatest challenges is maintaining a regular, intentional, and purposeful time with God. As you reflect on the following scriptures, may you be assured of the joy in having a personal relationship with our awesome God:

“The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.” – Psalm 145:18-19

“Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.” – 1 Chronicles 16:11

Last week, I shared about what mission means in church culture. Perhaps in your time with the Lord this week, you could ask Him where your mission lies right now. Some of you may have felt a prompting toward short-term service, whether here in NZ or overseas. If you’d like to explore this further, my office door is always open—I’d love to sit down, pray with you, and offer guidance.
