At St Peters we are interested in others – we find that meeting with Jesus encourages us to go out into our community and share his vision for living in words and in actions. We want to invite other people to come to know Jesus and to be his followers, and we want to share his love with the people around us. We do this with our friends and neighbours, by caring for our city and around the world through the outreach partnerships we have formed.
GET CONTROL with CAP Money
Get Control (formally known as Tools for Life) is four-session course that delivers the CAP Money course with the inclusion of some practical skills for living well on a budget. You can enjoy a friendly group where you’ll discover skills to budget, shop well and thrive. You will gain practical skills and discover new ways to live for a brighter future.
Over four sessions your Get Control coach will provide you with practical and relevant support to ensure you get the most out of the course. They are open and caring people who will walk with you every step of the journey.

St Peters House
St Peters House is a community organisation based in central Tauranga operated by a charitable trust.
We offer a range of services to help individuals and families in the western Bay of Plenty.
Our aim is to equip people with skills and tools that can continue to be used and developed long after they have finished working with us.
Our services are provided on a donation or low cost basis to remove financial barriers, we have wheelchair friendly facilities, and we work with all people regardless of gender, ethnicity, lifestyle choice or belief, to enable anyone to access the help they need.
Community Lunch
Join Us for a Free Community Lunch – Every Tuesday, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
We invite everyone in need to enjoy a warm and welcoming lunch at our church every Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It’s a great opportunity to connect with others, share a meal, and receive support. Each week, there will be a short message from the Word to inspire and encourage you.
We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all our wonderful volunteers and the generous donations from our community. A special thanks to Sarin and Wattana Nhoek, Blomquist Bakery and also Good Neighbour for sponsoring most of the food and making this community lunch possible.

Global Outreach
At St Peters Church we partner with a number of people around the world to bring the love of God and the Good News of Jesus to people.
We would like to encourage you to pray for the Missionaries we support, to give as you are able, to support their work, and perhaps to get your toes wet on a short-term Missions experience yourself. Please follow the links to see our prayer updates.
- Dan and Eloisa Escobido, church (River of God) planters in the slums of Manila.
- Danny and Lily Besoro, church planters on the Island on Mindoro in the Philippines, working with the poorest Mangyan people. Danny and Lily visited us in Feb 2018.

Dear St. Peter Family,
Greetings to you in the Precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May God’s abounding blessings be upon you!
First of all, Happy Hearts Day to all of you. Hope you enjoyed & celebrated with your love ones.
Thank you so much for your love, cares, prayers and continuous support in this ministry of the Lord here in Tondo, Manila. You are really a great blessing and encouragement to us to pursue and continue in our service with the Lord. May the Lord bless you more.
Secondly, we always had a good Sunday Service. Our Lord moves in the everyday lives of the church members. During Wednesday we had our prayer meeting at our house and some refreshments after our prayer intercession.
Thirdly, kindly pray for our kids because there’s a “MEASLE’S OUTBREAK” in our country today. Even though this, children are faithfully attending the Children Outreach. We keep praying for their protection. According to the news: there are some kids who already died. Please keep them in prayers thanks!
Finally, God is moving in our midst. He is protecting us from any works of the enemy. Though there are many killings and outbreaks of sickness, God is with us.
Your prayers and continuous support helps us a lot to move-on and continue in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ in this endeavour.
May our God bless you more as you keep on partnering us in this ministry our Lord Jesus Christ.

August 2026 Update

Dear Friends & Family,
Greetings! How are things with you? We truly hope and pray you are well and healthy, enjoying our Father’s presence and His fellowship.
We continue doing daily feeding programme, but sadly we’re doing it only in one school – the school with the most number of students (249). Our budget can’t give to all three schools we’ve been praying, although our chicken (poultry) and pigs where we put most of our resources would be ready in a few more weeks, so hopefully by then we can give meat, for protein to the students.
Our college students will be back to school and to the dorm next month. It is always a blessing when we see the students who finished their courses and graduated from us working, teaching in the schools we go to for the feeding programme. So far two schools have Mangyan teachers who came from us. Another school, farther up the hill has a teacher who came from us too and is also asking for feeding for their students. Well prayers, prayers and more prayers we needed to be able to meet all our needs.
We’re done celebrating our birthdays – Danny on the 10th of July and Lily on the 17th. We are ever grateful to our Father for the life we have in Him – His blessings of peace, joy, strength, good health, protection and so much more we enjoy as His beloved children. We have dinner with the family and we enjoyed every minute we were with our kids and grandkids.
Thank you, dearest friends, for your prayers. Thank you for the gifts you sent for feeding earlier this month. Sorry we were not able to acknowledge it earlier.

International Needs Kanchooramoddai village Sri Lanka . Elephant electric fence project to provide transformational change for 23 vulnerable Tamil families enabling sustainable living. To protect their 1 Acre plots from being destroyed by Elephants. Fundraising $30000 – Thank you to everyone who so generously supported this.
Fundraising was completed at the end of March this year but extra $2200 was required due to increased costs because of the fuel crisis. This was met from various sources including St Peter’s Mission committee.
Project started mid June and should be finished by the end of July.
Sano Diyo (meaning “Little Lighthouse” in Nepali) is a children’s home and community outreach program located in Northern India (specifically around Siliguri/Dehradun near the Nepal border). Operated in partnership with the humanitarian organization International Needs and founded locally by Prasanna and Arpana Khaling, the program focuses on rescuing, protecting, and educating vulnerable children.
Services in the Bay of Plenty
Good Neighbour is a Tauranga-based charity that collects and redistributes food—good enough to eat but not good enough to sell—that would otherwise go to landfill. They support over 70 local organisations across the Bay of Plenty, including St Peters in the City.
We’re deeply grateful for their weekly food donations, which form a large part of our community meals. A big shout-out to the Good Neighbour team for their ongoing generosity and support!
