Outreach
At St Peters we are interested in others – we find that meeting with Jesus encourages us to go out into our community and share his vision for living in words and in actions. We want to invite other people to come to know Jesus and to be his followers, and we want to share his love with the people around us. We do this with our friends and neighbours, by caring for our city and around the world through the outreach partnerships we have formed.
Tools for Life
At the moment, life is certainly different for all of us and for many it is a time of financial uncertainty or major economic change. To provide another way of helping people through this time, St Peters House has adapted the Tools for Life Course to a six week online course and included CAP Money. CAP Money gives participants access to an online tool to build and maintain individual budgets.
Although not meeting in person, the group will still be a supportive place in which to meet with a group of people to share ideas, make friends and try new things. They include:
Money
- How to build a budget
- Live well on your budget
- CAP Money system
- Living on Cash
Health and Wellbeing
- Healthy Eating on a budget
- Positive well-being
- Meal planning and shopping to a list

St Peters House
St Peters House is a community organisation based in central Tauranga operated by a charitable trust.
We offer a range of services to help individuals and families in the western Bay of Plenty.
Our aim is to equip people with skills and tools that can continue to be used and developed long after they have finished working with us.
Our services are provided on a donation or low cost basis to remove financial barriers, we have wheelchair friendly facilities, and we work with all people regardless of gender, ethnicity, lifestyle choice or belief, to enable anyone to access the help they need.
Global Outreach
At St Peters Church we partner with a number of people around the world to bring the love of God and the Good News of Jesus to people.
We would like to encourage you to pray for the Missionaries we support, to give as you are able, to support their work, and perhaps to get your toes wet on a short-term Missions experience yourself. Please follow the links to see our prayer updates.
In 2017 our Youth Missions Team returned to the Philippines where we support several Mission activities.
- Ric and Louie Mendoza, church planters in the slums of Manila.
- Danny and Lily Besoro, church planters on the Island on Mindoro in the Philippines, working with the poorest Mangyan people. Danny and Lily visited us in Feb 2018.
- YWAM Balut, YWAM Mercy Link, and Ruel Foundation in the Philippines. All of these agencies have links with each other and we have been involved in the Philippines for over 15 years.
Other Missions we support are:
- Laurie Sanders in his Mission trips to China.
- Andrew Clark who is involved in Mercy Ships international.
- Partnering with International Needs and their work in Northern India at a children’s home called Sano Diyo. A group of our ladies visited Sano Diyo in 2013, and in 2017 Apana and Prasanna from Sano Diyo visited us
For more information on our missionaries please contact the Chairman of our Missions Committee, Ian Donaldson, 07 571 1176.

Dear St. Peter Family,
Greetings to you in the Precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May God’s abounding blessings be upon you!
First of all, Happy Hearts Day to all of you. Hope you enjoyed & celebrated with your love ones.
Thank you so much for your love, cares, prayers and continuous support in this ministry of the Lord here in Tondo, Manila. You are really a great blessing and encouragement to us to pursue and continue in our service with the Lord. May the Lord bless you more.
Secondly, we always had a good Sunday Service. Our Lord moves in the everyday lives of the church members. During Wednesday we had our prayer meeting at our house and some refreshments after our prayer intercession.
Thirdly, kindly pray for our kids because there’s a “MEASLE’S OUTBREAK” in our country today. Even though this, children are faithfully attending the Children Outreach. We keep praying for their protection. According to the news: there are some kids who already died. Please keep them in prayers thanks!
Finally, God is moving in our midst. He is protecting us from any works of the enemy. Though there are many killings and outbreaks of sickness, God is with us.
Your prayers and continuous support helps us a lot to move-on and continue in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ in this endeavour.
May our God bless you more as you keep on partnering us in this ministry our Lord Jesus Christ.
To God all be the Glory, Honour and Praises.
In Christ,
Pastor Ric V. Mendoza Senior Pastor – R.O.G.
Dear St. Peter family,
Greetings of peace and joy! How are you friends doing? We pray you are continually receiving and experiencing the amazing grace of our master, Jesus Christ, deep, deep within yourselves.
It is the same grace that the Lord gives us daily that sustains us. We praise the Lord for our Mangyan students – they are resilience in all hardships they face and uses it to overcome. With courage and wisdom they face each challenges that comes their way….they are eager and willing to do hard work, that sometimes they surpass (in terms of grades in written and oral exam) they lowland classmates. We believe they each bring something unique into this world.
On Saturdays, we visit them in their villages to do bible studies for the little children and everyone who cares to listen. When our resources allows we give them snacks too. Of course those who stays with us in the dorm also have weekly bible studies and we encourage them to teach their brothers and sisters, mom and dad everything they learn but sometimes they are shy even at home and we have to show them and teach them how to share His word.
At home, July is always a joyful month. Danny had his 54th birthday on the 10th while Lily’s 57th was on the 17th of the month. But even before July started, our youngest Marc graduated from university last 27th June….so we lift all our praises and glory to our living God who made all these possible. And we thank the Lord too for all your support and for standing by our side. Thank you dearest friends….all our love and prayers, Danny and Lily

Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
