Kia ora koutou, and warm greetings and Talofa lava!

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life

that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”  James 1:12 NIV

If you’re reading this, you’re still alive

Fought, struggled, battled but you have not died.

Finding new strength, when your vigour is almost gone.

You must, you must, you must press on.

Rouse your motivation lest it flag,

Goad your discipline lest it lag.

For a pilgrim in this life, you surely are –

Adventure, journey & travel far.

Paths on mountain tops and jagged ridge,

Meadows, mires, valleys or a rickety bridge;

Tread & trudge & sing your song.

You must, you must, you must press on.

In the popular majority we may not be?

Resolved to be a remnant, a faithful minority.

Insignificant, irrelevant some retort;

Still in faith we claim a good report.

Like Moses, Caleb and Joshua who came afore,

Our hearts believe – God in his time, still has more.

Our spirit’s eyes are not dim & our strength is not gone.

So we must, we must, we must press on.

As we gather in Jesus’ name can you

  • Deepen your interaction with the Holy Spirit,
  • Cultivate your friendship with Jesus and
  • Court the favour and blessings of God;

Your Fellow Pilgrim
