Sunday 15 February 2026
Kia ora koutou, and warm greetings and Talofa lava!
Over the last three weeks, I have been sharing about the True Vine and how we need to be connected to the Vine, who is Jesus, daily, so that we can grow and produce spiritual fruit.
I have heard many share how this message has spoken to them personally in their walk with the Lord, so following on from that, I would like to extend an invitation to come and celebrate personal stories and encounters with God next Sunday, 22 February. In the service we will be setting aside time to hear short, personal stories of God’s faithfulness, love, and provision.
We all know how powerful it is when people share their stories. In everyday life, stories help us feel connected and remind us that we are not alone. How much more meaningful it is when we share what God has done in our lives.
As a church family, one of the simplest ways we honour the Lord is by telling the story of His faithfulness. Many of us can remember when we first came to Christ, when forgiveness brought peace and hope replaced uncertainty. Others may have experienced a specific moment: a prayer answered, provision at just the right time, healing, protection, or restoration. These stories are not about us, they point to God and His goodness.
I want to gently encourage you to consider sharing a brief, one-minute testimony on Sunday, 22 February. It does not need to be dramatic or carefully polished. Simply share how you came to the Lord, or a moment when you clearly saw His hand at work in your life.
When we speak of His goodness, faith rises, hearts are strengthened, and someone who may be quietly struggling realises that God is real and active among us. Perhaps your story might be the very encouragement someone else needs to hear.
As Jesus said in Luke 8:39, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.”
Let’s be a people who not only believe that God is faithful, but who lovingly and confidently tell of His faithfulness together.
