Sunday 29 March 2026
Kia ora koutou, and warm greetings and Talofa lava!
As we come to the end of our 40-day journey with Jesus, we now step into Holy Week together. Palm Sunday reminds us of Jesus entering Jerusalem to cries of “Hosanna”—full of hope and expectation yet not fully understanding the path ahead. In the same way, we walk with Him now, through the table, the garden, the cross, and toward the hope of the resurrection.
So come let us celebrate! Let us carry this journey forward with renewed faith and joyful expectation. Let all we have learned, prayed, and received draw us closer than ever to Christ in this Holy Week. We celebrate not just the end of a journey, but the beginning of its fulfilment.
So as is our tradition, we warmly invite you to bring palm branches, flax, or large greenery to help decorate the church and welcome Jesus in as we celebrate Palm Sunday together.
We will gather in the auditorium before moving into the church, singing “Hosanna, Hosanna” and waving our branches. Do come early and bring the children and grandchildren to be part of this special moment, full of joy, full of praise, and full of hope.
