Sunday 5 April 2026

Kia ora koutou, and warm greetings and Talofa lava!

Wherever we are in the world this Good Friday, we stand together at the foot of the cross. We remember that love was poured out in sacrifice. In Christ’s suffering, we see the depth of God’s compassion for a broken world. Jesus carries our pain, our sin, and our sorrow—offering forgiveness and grace in return. “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross… by his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

Good Friday reminds us that even in darkness, God is at work. The cross is not the end, but the beginning of hope. “It is finished.” (John 19:30)

So take time this Friday to pause and reflect, and draw near to Christ, trusting in His redeeming love. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)

Let us wait in hope—Friday is not the end; Sunday is coming!
