Your Vote Matters – Have Your Say!
As we go about our week, here’s a gentle reminder that Saturday is the final day of voting!
Elections give us a voice and a responsibility to help shape the future of our communities and our country. They invite us to think carefully about the kind of leadership we need and the future we want for generations to come.
So, what matters most as you make your choice?
Beyond policies and promises, what qualities do you look for in a leader? Do they demonstrate honesty, integrity, humility, compassion and a genuine commitment to serving others?
Throughout Scripture, God reminds us of the importance of justice, mercy and walking humbly (Micah 6:8). Leadership is not simply about power or position; it is about responsibility, serving people and seeking the common good.
As people of faith, let’s invite God into our decision-making. Take a moment to pray for wisdom and discernment as you consider your vote.
A prayer before you vote:
“Lord, give me wisdom as I consider the choices before me. Help me recognise leadership marked by integrity, justice, humility and compassion. Guide my decision and help me consider the wellbeing of others as I cast my vote. Amen.”
Don’t sit this one out! Make your voice count.
Whatever our choices, let’s continue to respect one another, care for one another and pray for those entrusted with leadership.
Have a great week, and don’t forget to vote by Saturday!
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.” — James 1:5
